Día del Maestro

Missed it yesterday the 11th. Día del Maestro or Teachers' Day. It commemorates the death of D. F. Sarmiento; and is only observed by primary school students. The high-school students have their own days which is Spetember 21. This is also Spring Day in Argentina. On that day an extended post about this day.

Also Teachers' Day is observed in many other countries for example Brazil, Mexico, India, Peru, taiwan and also the United States. This holiday is celebrated on various days depending on the country.
