Most folks know Argentina and Buenos Aires in particular from images like the one above. The middle of the tourist zone and extravagantly photographed. Nothing wrong with that. Also info about the same topic is easy to find using a search engine or Wikipedia.

What is not so common is to write and show how it is to live actually there. The observant reader may have seen the profile image which displays two flags. One from Argentina and the other from The Netherlands. I came from the latter to live in the first. Quite a difference as you may understand. And it is that difference which may be so interesting to read about.

What happens outside the tourist zone? What is daily life for the average Argentinian? Things like shopping, getting a haircut, religion, public transport. All this may be interesting for those who wants to know more about it, just out of curiosity or maybe you are thinking about moving there yourself.

So that's what i will try to do mainly. Stories with pictures and maybe movies about the daily aspects of living in Argentina and especially Buenos Aires since that's where i live. I've decided to write in English and not in Dutch (i wanted bi-lingual at first) since i know quite some English-speaking folks and they are less likely to speak Dutch than the number of Dutch with knowledge of English.

I hope to write very regularly if i can. Enjoy!
