Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo

White shawls are drawn on the floor in an area of Plaza de Mayo. The shawls symbolize the Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo. The Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo (Spanish: Asociación Madres de Plaza de Mayo) is an association of Argentine mothers whose children "disappeared" under the military dictatorship between 1976 and 1983.

On thursdays day have their weekly march on the Plaza to keep asking for action or attention to social issues.
