Tranvía de Puerto Madero starts service in Buenos Aires

I remember they were working on this. When you walk from Plaza de Mayo to Puerto Madero you see the Puerto Madero stop of this line. The line is also called Tranvía del Este.


The line circles parallel to Avenida Alicia Moreau de Justo in between Avenidas Independencia and Córdoba. The whole trips merely takes 12 minutes and costs 1 Peso which makes it more expensive than bus and subway.

It travels from Monday to Saturday between 8 am and 11 pm and on Sundays and holidays between 9 am and 10 pm with a frequency of one every 20 minutes.

This line is first part of a project which seeks to unite Puerto Madero, Retiro, Constitucíon and Barracas with this service.
