Whit Monday

Whit Monday (England, Wales, Ireland) or just Pentecost Day 2 is a holiday in The Netherlands but again not here in Argentina. It's the last holiday people normally have until their summer vacations (mostly in July - August) or if they don't until X-mas.

It's not only a holiday in the Netherlands but also in Iceland, Norway, Denmark, The Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, parts of Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Hungary. In the UK it's not a public holiday but they observe the last Monday in May as such. And sometimes it coincides with the Pentecost Weekend. In France it was abolished as a holiday and the French were NOT amused to say the least. Also in Sweden they don't do it anymore but for them June 6th became a day off. Which is Swedish National Day.
