Pago Fácil and making payments

Pago Fácil is a system to make payments. It is widely used here. Pago Fácil works with central offices spread around the city and country as well as small "stations" in Locutorios, Kiosks, Supermarkets etc. You can recognize such a point via the logo as in the picture.

How does it work? If you get an invoice for let's say: Electricity. This bill then has a barcode. You go to one of the points to pay. Generally this is cash payments. They scan the barcode, usually keep part of the invoice for their administration and put a date stamp on it with the amount. This is your proof that this bill is paid. Sometimes you have more than one barcode. This is done for certain payments giving people the chance to pay in monthly parts.
